Renaissance scholars from across the globe meet during various summer research trips in Mantua, Italy. Sitting at adjacent tables in the archive, we have bonded, shared our discoveries, helped each other with our work, gone out for gelato, and become friends. Over the years we have developed strong ties to the city of Mantua and her people, without whom the study of Isabella d’Este and of much that is glorious about Renaissance history and culture would not be possible.
